Stelvio Cipriani International Film Scoring Competition
Fiona was selected as the WINNER of the Stelvio Cipriani International Film Scoring Competition in 2022. Based in Rome the competition saw entries from over two hundred international applicants. Over fifty of them made the semi-finals where they were asked to score a film excerpt. From this four finalists were chosen with another film scoring entry to select the winner. Winners were announced in July 2022 with the awards ceremony scheduled for later in 2022 in Rome.

From the Cipriani Competition website:
With the support of Cipriani family and the cooperation of Il Trittico Arte Rome, the competition is created in the name of the composer who’s well known for the music of movies like “Anonimo Veneziano” and cooperated with directors such as James Cameron and Dino Risi. His music was chosen also by directors like Quentin Tarantino and he is considered one of the most successful Italian composers for the big screen, along with Ennio Morricone, Riz Ortolani and Nino Rota.
The competition aims to be a real opportunity for the participants to develop their career, offering them the chance to be judged by an authoritative jury from Europe and the USA as well as with money prizes; among them, M° Andrea Morricone, son of Ennio and -like his father- composer of many theatrical scores such as the Oscar winner “Nuovo Cinema Paradiso”.
